Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We have answers!

Why use a Travel Advisor?
Using a travel advisor is like having a personal concierge for your adventures. Sure, you could spend hours scouring the internet for the best deals and accommodations, but why not let a seasoned expert handle the heavy lifting? Travel advisors have a treasure trove of insider knowledge, from off-the-beaten-path destinations to exclusive perks you won’t find online. They’re your ticket to stress-free travel, offering optional tailored itineraries and personalized recommendations that cater to your tastes and preferences. Not to mention, they take care of all of all issues included in your vacation package for you, if an issue does arise. Whether you’re craving a luxury escape or a family-friendly getaway, your travel advisor can turn your dreams into reality while saving you time, money, and headaches along the way.

Do you charge to book through you?
Nope! Our services are free!

For more information on working with us, please see our Trip Inquiry page.

What if I want to change something on my vacation package before I book?
Our job is to curate your dream vacation. If you aren’t satisfied with something in your trip package or have something in mind to make a detail better for you, we will absolutely work with you to fix whatever that may be!

What if my trip gets canceled due to unforeseen circumstances?
We will assist you in understanding the terms and conditions of your booking and work with service providers to seek refunds or rescheduling options where possible. Travel insurance can also help cover unexpected cancellation expenses.

Can you book an Airbnb?
We choose to not work with Airbnb due to the high concentration of inconsistent quality of their properties as well as host fraud and last minute cancellations from the host. However, in certain circumstances, we will work with Vrbo to meet our clients needs.

Do you recommend/offer travel insurance?
Absolutely! We always highly recommend travel insurance to our clients because it’s unknown what kind of surprises life may have in store and we hate to see the consequences of not having it if/when the clients trip has to be canceled or someone on the trip has a medical emergency while on vacation. As a matter of fact, we recommend it so strongly that we require our clients to sign a waiver if they choose to decline. We can gladly assist you in purchasing travel insurance even if you’ve already booked your trip on your own or elsewhere – with no charges from us.

Do I have to get off of the ship in Antarctica?
No, you can board a traditional cruise to Antarctica for your leisure. You’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife without ever leaving your room. These ships are larger and typically have a larger selection of on-board activities. They can also be kid-friendly, while children are generally not allowed to leave the ship on Antarctica’s expedition cruises. It’s all about matching you with the right cruise for you!

How far in advance should I start planning my trip?
We recommend starting to plan your trip at least 3-6 months in advance for international travel and 1-3 months in advance for domestic travel to ensure the best availability and pricing. Christmas Market Cruises and Antarctica Cruises are best planned at least 1 year ahead of time. Popularity and limited availability are the main factors in this recommendation due to the fact that they sell out so quickly.

What is the difference in regular/traditional cruises and luxury cruises?
Regular/Traditional cruises and luxury cruises differ significantly in terms of services, amenities, and overall experience. Regular cruises, often operated by mainstream cruise lines, typically offer a wide range of activities and entertainment aimed at families and large groups, with numerous dining options and standard cabin accommodations in large ships. These cruises focus on affordability and accessibility, attracting a broad demographic. In contrast, luxury cruises cater to discerning travelers seeking an elevated experience. They feature smaller ships with spacious, elegantly designed suites, personalized service, and gourmet dining prepared by renowned chefs. Luxury cruises are, often all inclusive, provide exclusive shore excursions, intimate onboard events, and a much higher staff-to-guest ratio (typically 1:1 to 1-1.5), ensuring a more personalized and sophisticated journey. The emphasis is on exclusivity, comfort, and exceptional service, creating an opulent and memorable travel experience.

Who do I contact if I have an issue during my trip?
We provide 24/7 support for our travelers. You will receive contact information for your travel advisor to assist you with any issues that arise during your trip.

What should I do if I lose my passport or travel documents?
If you lose your passport or travel documents, contact the local embassy or consulate immediately for assistance. Your travel advisor can also guide you through the process.

Can you assist with local recommendations and bookings during my trip?
Yes – we can provide recommendations for restaurants, activities, and tours, and assist with any additional bookings you may need during your trip.
